The hardest part of holding on is letting go. It’s a continual dance that we all participate in, and applies to relationships, goals we want to achieve, and our life’s journey. It’s finding the balance between attachment, and non-attachment. We need to hold on to love, to believe in our dreams, and our hopes for the future. But at the same time we must learn to let go of being attached to how it will all unfold. In other words, keep the passion alive … but don’t be so dogmatic about following your plans that you fall apart when the path changes course. And change it will. Everything in life is in a constant state of change. Attachment keeps you imprisoned, and resistant to change. Letting go releases you to flow with change, and accept the things that you have little or no control over. When you can find the balance between letting go, and holding on… You win, and so does everyone else around you. It’s a perfectly imperfect solution. But it’s where everything comes together as it should. It’s where life makes sense because you’re working with the divine. It’s where you feel fulfilled, and your soul is at peace.
